Description

Unit: 3 Cath Labs; Cath and EP procedures

Requirements

At least 2 years of Cath Lab experience
Prior travel experience; no first-time travelers
BLS and ACLS
Moderate sedation with Versed/Fentanyl, critical drip management, and case monitoring/circulating
Experience with the listed procedures preferred
EMR: Epic

Unit and patient care

Volume: Approximately 5–15 cases daily
Cases: Diagnostic/interventional heart caths, STEMI/NSTEMI, PCI/CTO, peripheral interventions, Impella, IABP, atherectomy, shockwave, and temporary pacemakers
EP procedures: Loop recorders, Micra, pacemakers, AICDs, lead extractions/revisions, and generator changes
Orientation: Facility orientation plus 1 day on the unit

Schedule and call

Shifts: 10-hour shifts, 7:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m.
Weekend call: 2 weekend shifts per 4-week call schedule; may be consecutive or split
Weekday call: 4–5 additional overnight shifts per 4-week schedule
Response time: 30 minutes; no sleep room available
Holidays: May require call
Time off: Up to 7 days may be approved
Scheduling: Self-scheduling in 6-week blocks with manager approval
