177008 Registered Nurse-Immunizer

Position Type: Contract

Work Arrangement: On-site

Assignment Duration: Approximately 6 weeks

Start Date: ASAP

End Date: November 13th (contract ends)

Shift/Hours: Monday-Friday from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM with a 30-minute lunch (40 hours per week) and no weekends

Role Overview

The Registered Nurse-Immunizer will provide immunization services and healthcare support in a pharmacy environment. This position will administer vaccines, support pharmacy and healthcare initiatives, provide patient education, assess patient health history, and maintain accurate immunization and patient records while following established healthcare, safety, and confidentiality protocols.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer immunizations to patients in accordance with healthcare protocols.
  • Provide immunization services as part of healthcare support.
  • Support pharmacy and healthcare initiatives by administering vaccines.
  • Assess patient health history to determine eligibility for immunizations.
  • Provide patient education regarding immunization procedures and potential side effects.
  • Maintain accurate records of immunizations and patient information.
  • Adhere to safety and confidentiality standards in all patient interactions.
  • Support healthcare and pharmacy activities as assigned.
  • Work in accordance with established healthcare protocols and procedures.
  • Protect and appropriately handle protected health information (PHI).

Education and Licenses

  • Nursing license (RN) required.
  • Certification in immunization administration preferred.
  • Verify specific education and licensing requirements with an Account Manager.

Job Requirements

  • Must be a licensed Registered Nurse.
  • Must be licensed and qualified to administer immunizations.
  • Must be comfortable providing immunization services to patients.
  • Must be able to work in a healthcare and pharmacy environment.
  • Must be comfortable handling protected health information (PHI).
  • Must be available to work in a safety-sensitive position.
