💼 Position Details:
Title: RN – Emergency Department
Location: Santa Rosa, CA
Start Date: 11/02/2026
Duration: 26 weeks
Schedule: 3 × 12-hour shifts
Shift: Night | 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
Weekend: Every 3rd weekend / as needed
EMR: Epic
🩺 Your Role
As an Emergency Department RN, you'll provide safe, timely, and comprehensive nursing care to adult and pediatric patients in a fast-paced emergency setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, triage, and prioritization based on acuity.
- Provide care for medical, cardiac, stroke, psychiatric, pediatric, and trauma patients.
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and recognize/manage dysrhythmias and emergency conditions.
- Perform IV insertion, phlebotomy, medication administration, and IV therapy.
- Manage patients requiring BiPAP/CPAP, vasopressors, procedural sedation, and emergency interventions.
- Administer blood products and provide central-line care as required.
- Maintain accurate and timely Epic documentation.
- Follow appropriate isolation, infection-control, and patient-safety practices.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
🎯 Qualifications
Required
- 1–2 years RN experience; strong ED experience required
- Hospital experience required
- Level II Trauma experience required / subject to screening
- Active California RN License
- BLS, ACLS, PALS & NIHSS
- Epic experience
- Strong skills in triage, IV therapy, phlebotomy, cardiac monitoring, and emergency care
- TNCC required/preferred; candidates without TNCC may be considered if willing to obtain before start
- First-time travelers accepted with ED experience
