Title: Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse
Location: Charlotte North Carolina 28210
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: 8hr Day Shift - 40
Shift Information: Monday-Friday 0600-1700 varying 8-hour shifts
Clinical Interviewing- Yes – manager will conduct final interview
On Call, Call Back Requirements: Call every 8 weeks
Weekend Rotation: EOW
Holiday Requirements: Varying holiday on call
Floating Requirements: None
About Facility:
- Total licensed beds are 373 (344 Acute & 29 Inpatient Rehab)
- ED = 30 beds
- ICU = 46 beds
- PCU = 40 beds
- Observation = 70 beds
- OR Suites = 14
- No trauma designation
- We offer X-ray, CT, Ultrasound, MRI, Interventional Radiology, and Nuclear Medicine, with Radiology Nursing support.
- TJC Stroke accredited
- Radius rule: Traveler s permanent address must be 50 miles outside of home unit
Department Information:
- Average Inpatient Census is around 400
Minimum Years of Experience required: 3 years
Will you accept a first-time traveler: Yes
Patient Types:
- Adults from ED, ICUs, Nursing units and outpatients across the full spectrum of radiology exams and diagnoses
Required License, National Certification, Certs (BLS, ACLS, etc.), or other position specific requirements such as Driver's License and/or Insurance:
- BLS, ACLS
Skills required:
- Radiology RNs support nursing needs throughout Radiology.
- Prep/Recovery
- Intraprocedural moderate sedation
- Cardiac stress testing Nuclear Medicine & MRI
- Cardiac scanning in CT
- Port access
- Cardiac experience/Critical Care experience
Support within the Department:
- Guest Services/Transport
Technology/Equipment:
- EMR: EPIC
- PACS: Philips iSite
- Department specific Equipment: Phillips monitoring system
Floating: No
Orientation (facility and unit):
- Administrative onboarding (Epic, eLearnings, policy review, etc.) – 1 day
- 2 days to 1 week departmental (as needed)
Scheduling:
- 0600-1930; 1930-0600 – shift time will depend on requisition
- Weekend rotation: every weekend - WOW
- Call requirement: will depend on requisition – discussed during final interview with Manager
- What is the call back time: 30-60 min
- Is there a sleep room available: No
- Holiday Expectations: Travelers will work 75% of holidays
- RTO: Manager approval
