Description
Travel Echo Tech / Cardiac Sonographer – Portland, ME
$2,468–$2,763 estimated weekly gross
Join a busy inpatient echocardiography lab at a Level I trauma and teaching hospital!
Assignment Details:
• 13 weeks | Listed start: October 12, 2026
• 40 hours/week | 4×10-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM
• Rotating weekends
• Overnight call 2–3 nights/month, 5:30 PM–6:30 AM; call-ins require cardiologist approval
• Approximately 7–8 echocardiograms per day
• Epic charting
Experience & Skills:
• Minimum 5 years of echocardiography experience
• At least 2 years of acute inpatient echo experience at a Level I trauma facility
• Epic experience required
• Experience with TTE, stress echo, TEE, 3D echo, and strain imaging
• Strong knowledge of complex cardiac anatomy and pathology
• Proficiency in image optimization and ultrasound contrast use
• Ability to manage a busy critical care workflow while meeting ASE/IAC standards
