Interim Manager – Weekend Track Nightshift / Interim Lab Manager
Assignment Details
- Location: St. Peter's Hospital, Albany, NY
Department: Lab
- Schedule: Every Saturday & Sunday
- Hours: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
24 hours/week
- ASAP: Yes
- Critical Order: Yes
On-call: No
Must-Have Qualifications
- Must meet one NYSDOH 10 NYCRR §58-1.4 Laboratory Supervisor qualification pathway
- Current NY State Clinical Laboratory Technologist (CLT) license or acceptable equivalent
- Strong hands-on Blood Bank/Transfusion Service experience
- Must independently perform:
- Antibody workups
- Crossmatching
- Transfusion reactions
- Massive transfusion events
- Working knowledge of:
- Chemistry
- Hematology
- Microbiology
- Experience functioning as the sole technical authority during weekend/off-shift hours
- Acute-care hospital laboratory experience
- Knowledge of CLIA, CAP, AABB, and NYCRR Part 58
- Epic Beaker and/or WellSky Blood Bank experience, or ability to learn quickly
