Kaiser Permanente is seeking an experienced OBGYN Nurse Practitioner, with fertility/reproductive health experience highly preferred, to support a pilot program focused on improving the patient experience within the Reproduction & Infertility departments.

This is an exciting opportunity to help develop a new patient-support model, providing 100% virtual patient consultations initially while working onsite at the Downey Independence Park location.

• Schedule: Monday–Friday
• Hours: 8:30 AM–5:00 PM
• Weekend Work: May be available if interested
• Call: None
• Patient Volume: Variable; all patients initially seen virtually
• EMR: EPIC – Health Connect
• Credentialing: Approximately 60–90 days
• Licensure: Active California license required
• Board Certification: Required
• BLS: American Heart Association required
• Temporary Privileges: Not available

Responsibilities

• Support the development and implementation of a new Reproduction & Infertility patient-support program
• Conduct virtual pre-consultations with fertility patients
• Contact patients by telephone and telehealth to gather information and discuss their needs
• Triage patients who may not require an immediate consultation with an REI physician
• Develop individualized plans to support patients throughout their fertility journey
• Collaborate closely with the Reproduction & Infertility and Patient Information teams
• Help identify opportunities to improve workflows and patient care
• Contribute ideas and strategies as the pilot program evolves
• Potentially support future clinic-based coverage as the program expands

Qualifications

• Nurse Practitioner with OBGYN experience
• Fertility/Reproductive Health experience highly preferred
• Board Certified
• Active California NP license required
• BLS – American Heart Association required
• Strong patient communication and telehealth skills
• Comfortable working in a developing/pilot program
• Team-oriented, adaptable, and open to developing new processes
• Ability to work onsite at the Downey Independence Park location
