Description
Travel Surgical Technologist – Peds OR
Position: Surgical Technologist – Peds OR
Department: OR – Peds
Contract: 13 weeks / 91 days
Shift: 10H Days, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM + Call
Schedule: 4×10-hour shifts
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week
Charting: Epic
Required Certification: BLS
License: Required to submit
Unit Details
- ORs: 30 total suites; Peds surgery typically runs 3–4 ORs/day
- Scrubbing: Required
- Experience: Minimum 2 years scrubbing preferred
- Pediatric Experience: 2 years preferred
- Charge Nurse: Primary charge daily
- House Supervisor: 24/7
- Staffing: 1 RN + 1 ST per OR and on-call coverage

- Pediatric general surgery
- Pediatric/adult ENT
- Pediatric/adult dental
- Pediatric urology
- Pediatric/adult ophthalmology
- Simple pediatric orthopedics
Schedule & Call
- Four 10-hour shifts, Monday–Friday
- No set day off
- Self-scheduling available, subject to balancing
- Weekend call: 1 weekend every 4 weeks
- Saturday 7:00 AM through Monday 7:00 AM
- Holiday call: 24-hour holiday call when applicable
- Call response time: 30 minutes
- No more than 2 Fridays or 2 Mondays off during each 6-week scheduling period when possible
