Requirements:

• 2 years of ER experience required; job overview states 1 year minimum in profession.
• Level II Trauma experience required.
• Prior travel experience required.
• 1:4 patient ratio experience.
• ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC, and ENPC required.
• Cerner experience preferred.
• Experience in a combined Adult/Pediatric ED and care of patients from neonates through geriatrics.
• Strong experience with trauma, pediatrics, psychiatric emergencies, cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmias, ventilated patients, central/arterial lines, and emergency medications.

Description:

• Work in a 42-bed, Level II Trauma Center with approximately 165 daily visits and 36 rooms.
• Provide emergency care to adult and pediatric patients, including trauma, medical, psychiatric, neurological, respiratory, and cardiac emergencies.
• Manage gunshot wounds, traumatic amputations, head/spinal injuries, CVA, seizures, overdose, suicidal patients, acute psychosis, and violent behavior.
• Perform triage, 12-lead EKGs, cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, IV therapy/phlebotomy, blood products, central/arterial line management, and procedural sedation.
• Provide advanced respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP, ventilator management, chest tubes, ABGs, and intubation.
• Experience with continuous sedation/paralytics, vasopressors, emergency medications, hypothermia/Arctic Sun protocols, and multisystem organ dysfunction.
• Block scheduling with every-other-weekend coverage.
