Requirements:

• 2 years minimum ER experience in a facility of similar size; 5–8 years preferred
• Recent ER travel experience preferred (within the past 6–8 months)
• Level II or III Trauma experience
• ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC required (must be willing to obtain if offered)
• Cerner experience preferred
• Experience caring for adult and pediatric patients
• Strong experience with high-acuity emergency care and trauma

Description:

• Provide emergency nursing care in a 42-bed ED with approximately 200 daily visits.
• Care for patients ranging from neonates and infants to adults and geriatrics.
• Manage trauma, shock, cardiac emergencies, respiratory conditions, neurological emergencies, psychiatric patients, overdose, and multisystem conditions.
• Perform triage, IV therapy, phlebotomy, blood product administration, 12-lead EKGs, cardiac monitoring, and dysrhythmia management.
• Manage BiPAP/CPAP, ventilated patients, chest tubes, ABGs, intubation, central lines, vasopressors, emergency medications, and procedural sedation.
• Provide pediatric emergency care for conditions including seizures, asthma, abdominal pain, infections, hyperglycemia, and respiratory illness.
• Handle psychiatric emergencies including acute psychosis, overdose, suicidal patients, psychiatric holds, and violent behavior.
