Job Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to adult Med/Surg and Telemetry patients in a fast-paced hospital environment.
• Monitor patients’ cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and overall condition, recognizing and responding to changes promptly.
• Administer medications, perform comprehensive patient assessments, and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
• May float to J1-2, J33, and the ED to care for the same patient population based on hospital operational needs.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of ECG rhythm recognition and safe medication administration.
• Participate in hospital orientation and successfully complete the required ECG Rhythm Recognition and SafeMedicate assessments.
• Work at least every other holiday as required by the facility.

Requirements

• Minimum 12 months of permanent Med/Surg Tele RN experience in the specialty being applied for.
• Must have an active Ohio RN license or Compact State RN license in hand.
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• BLS must be through AHA or American Red Cross.
• Must be flexible with rotating day/night shifts based on hospital operational needs.
• Facility will make every effort to honor the traveler’s preferred shift but reserves the right to rotate shifts when necessary.
