Travelers will work 2 of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years). Managers will make the final call on scheduling, but we would include this verbiage on the confirmation. **Holiday time off will be considered, however not guaranteed*

 

*High risk unit, couplet care. Must be willing to do it all from start to finish. Must circulate c-sections & feel comfortable in all aspects of LDRPUnitFBC - OB / L&D / PP (LDRP)# L&D Beds 10# OR Suites on the unit for C-Sections2# Triage beds3 OB-ED and 3 antepartum testing used for OB ED overflow# Postpartum beds12# Births per day Month Year 140-165 births monthlyDo you follow AWHONN guidelines for ratios Ratios 1:3-4 couplets, LD anywhere from 1:1 to 1:2 , 1:1-3 antepartumsRequired Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, & AWHONN-Advanced. STABLE preferred.Common diagnoses/Types of patientspreterm labor/bleeding/inductions/cesarean sections/hypertensionExperience or 'Must have' skillsMust be able to float to MB and be able to circulate c-sections. All RNs must be able to circulate C/SAre RNs required to titrate dripsYesCommon titratable &/or set rate dripsPitocinCharge Nurse/House Supervisor Yes, generally does not take patients, but will do break relief.Are there nurse aids/surgical techs on this unitOB surgical techsOB/Neonatologist in house 24/7OB hospitalist 24/7 - Neo on call 24/7 and rounds daily. Shift starts 645. Report is at the bedside. OT and extra shifts are available. EOW and rotate with staff on holidaysIf placed on call - response time is 30 minutesFloating RequirementsAll other Sacramento facilities. Mid-shift float to another facility is rare, but can happen. No in house floating. Scrubs: Provided- Baby Catcher is also known as the NRP role. This is sometimes filled by NICU staff and sometimes by L&D. Depends on who has the staff available to do it. But it is an assignment for the entire shift. Cancellation Policy:Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment, 3 shifts for assignments that are less than 13 weeks Charting System:Cerner BSN Required:No License to Submit:Yes Trauma Level: Care Setting:Acute Division: Shift Notes:12hr Nights, EOW, First to Float Required Certifications:ACLS, Advanced Fetal Monitoring, BLS Certification, NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
