- Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Science in Nursing or Associate of Science in Nursing
Description
- Shift: 12-hour Days, starts 6:45 AM; 36 hrs/week
- Weekend: Every other weekend
- EMR: Cerner
- Experience: L&D experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
- Floating: First to float — may float to other Sacramento facilities; mid-shift floating possible
- Unit: Family Birthing Center/LDRP. Must be able to handle L&D, labor, delivery, postpartum/Mother-Baby, and all aspects of delivery. High-risk population including term, preterm, and antepartum patients.
- Ratios: 1:2 L&D, 1:1 delivery, 1:4 Mother/Baby couplets
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, Advanced Fetal Monitoring required; STABLE preferred
- Delivery Experience: Strongly prefers travelers able to “catch the baby”/function in the NRP role, especially for night shift
- Trauma: Level II
- Holidays: Travelers work 2 of 3 major holidays — Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s
- CommonSpirit Restriction: Cannot have been directly employed by a CommonSpirit/CHI/Dignity facility within the past year
