PACU Registered Nurse – Travel Contract
Location: Bridgeport, Connecticut
Specialty: PACU / Post-Anesthesia Care Unit
Openings: 2
Schedule: 40 hours/week
Shift Options: Day/Night Rotation or Day/Evening Rotation
Position Highlights:
- Exciting opportunity for an experienced PACU Registered Nurse to join a busy OR Ambulatory PACU team.
- 40-hour weekly schedule with a combination of two 12-hour shifts and two 8-hour shifts.
- Opportunity to work with a diverse and advanced surgical case mix.
- Strong opportunity for nurses looking to expand their experience across multiple surgical specialties.
- Weekend call required, with up to 3 call shifts during a 6-week scheduling period.
Case Mix
You will care for post-operative patients across a variety of specialties, including:
- Orthopedics and total joint procedures
- Neurology/neurosurgical cases
- General surgery
- GYN
- Urology
- Robotic procedures
- Cranial cases
Requirements:
- 2–3 years of recent PACU experience required
- Active RN license
- BLS
- ACLS
- PALS
- NIHSS
- Strong post-anesthesia assessment, monitoring, and recovery experience
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced surgical environment
- Flexibility to participate in weekend call rotation
