Ardor Health Solutions is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist for a travel contract at Alaska Regional Hospital in Anchorage, Alaska.

Position Overview

This opportunity offers a combination of inpatient and outpatient speech-language pathology, providing exposure to diverse patient populations and clinical needs.

The SLP will evaluate and treat patients with communication, cognitive-linguistic and swallowing disorders, collaborating with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to improve functional outcomes, patient safety and quality of life.

Responsibilities

Perform speech, language, cognitive and swallowing evaluations
Develop individualized treatment plans
Assess and treat dysphagia
Provide cognitive-communication rehabilitation
Treat speech, language and functional communication disorders
Work with hospitalized patients and outpatient referrals
Provide patient and caregiver education
Collaborate with physicians, nursing and rehabilitation professionals
Participate in discharge planning when appropriate
Maintain accurate clinical documentation

Qualifications

Active Alaska SLP license or eligibility for licensure
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
ASHA CCC-SLP preferred
BLS certification as required by the facility
Hospital-based SLP experience preferred
Experience with dysphagia and cognitive-communication rehabilitation preferred
