Ardor Health Solutions is seeking an Occupational Therapist for a travel contract at Ashland Place Health & Rehabilitation in Mobile, Alabama.

Position Overview

This opportunity is ideal for an OT who enjoys working with adult and geriatric patients in a skilled nursing and rehabilitation environment.

You'll focus on helping patients regain functional independence, improve their ability to perform daily activities and safely transition to their next level of care.

Responsibilities

Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
Provide skilled rehabilitation services to adult and geriatric patients
Address activities of daily living (ADLs), including dressing, bathing, grooming and toileting
Improve upper-extremity strength, coordination and range of motion
Provide functional transfer training and adaptive equipment education
Address balance, safety awareness and functional mobility
Collaborate with PT, SLP, nursing and interdisciplinary rehabilitation teams
Educate patients and caregivers on safe techniques and home modifications
Participate in discharge planning
Maintain accurate clinical documentation

Qualifications

Active Alabama Occupational Therapist license
Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program
BLS certification if required by the facility
Skilled nursing or geriatric rehabilitation experience preferred
Strong communication and teamwork skills
