Travel Home Health Speech-Language Pathologist – BayCare HomeCare, Sarasota/Manatee, FL

Position Summary

You’ll treat patients in their homes across Manatee County and South Hillsborough County for BayCare HomeCare on a full-time travel contract with Ardor.

This is a 13-week travel Home Health Speech-Language Pathologist role, with extension possible, with BayCare HomeCare in Florida’s Sarasota/Manatee area. You’ll provide skilled home visits for acute and chronic patients from adolescents through geriatrics, covering Medicare, Medicare Advantage and commercial insurance. Your caseload will include dysphagia management, aural rehabilitation, functional maintenance programs and patient/family education. You’ll also use evaluation tools like the BIMS, depression screening and oral peripheral exam.

Schedule and caseload

• Self-scheduled visits based on the HomeCare office’s needs.
• 6–8 visits per day, with a minimum of 6 points per day. The manager may increase this by 1 point.
• 1–2 weekends per contract.
• Coverage across multiple territories in Manatee County and South Hillsborough County.
• A laptop, MiFi for internet access and a portable printer are provided. Documentation uses BayCare forms, BayCare scheduling and the Ace timesheet system.
• Scrubs: any solid color.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of home health experience. OASIS training is preferred.
• CCC-SLP.
• Florida SLP license.
• BLS certification.
• A valid driver’s license and a reliable car for home visits.
• COVID vaccination or an exemption form on file.
• A flu shot or declination, with masks required at all times while working.
