Description
Role: Registered Nurse – LTC / Skilled Nursing
Shift: Mid shift, 2:00 PM–11:00 PM
Schedule: 5×8-hour shifts/week
Contract: 13 weeks
Experience: Minimum 1 year
BLS: Required
Every other weekend: Required
Holidays: As scheduled
Float: Required — across 2 floors / 2 wings per floor
Scrubs: Any solid color
Charting: PointClickCare preferred
Patient population: Adults and geriatrics
Daily census: ~75
Patient ratio: 1:24 days/weekends; 1:48 nights
🩺 Clinical skills
The facility expects experience with:
- LTC/skilled nursing and rehab
- Foley catheters
- IV medications/therapy and peripheral lines
- Insulin and diabetic monitoring
- Wound care, wound VAC, dressing changes
- JP drains
- Colostomy/ileostomy
- Neurological and stroke assessments
- CPAP/BiPAP
- Hoyer and sit/stand equipment
- Oxygen and pulse oximetry
- Feeding tubes
- PICCs/central lines
- End-of-life/palliative care
- Dementia, Parkinson's, COPD, CVA, diabetes and multiple-comorbidity patients
