Travel Surgical Technologist – Operating Room

Facility: BayCare, Green Bay, Wisconsin
Shift: 8-hour Day Shift
Hours: 40 hours/week
Contract: 89 weeks
Trauma Level: Level II
EMR: Epic
Parking: Free on-site
Scrubs: Provided by facility

Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience
• Bariatric surgery experience is mandatory
• Robotics experience required, especially Da Vinci Xi
• First-time travelers considered upon review
• Must be able to scrub across multiple surgical specialties

Required Certifications

• CST (Certified Surgical Technologist)
• BLS

Surgical Specialties

Experience is needed in:

• General surgery
• Bariatric surgery
• Robotic surgery — Da Vinci Xi
• ENT
• Plastics
• Urology
• Gynecology
• Minor vascular / endovascular procedures
• Neurosurgery
• Orthopedics
• Ophthalmology
• Cardiac cases
• Fistula procedures

Key specialties emphasized by the manager: ENT, endovascular, minor vascular, and robotics.

Responsibilities

• Scrub for surgical procedures
• Prepare instruments and the operating room
• Assist with patient positioning
• Support sterile processing tasks
• Clean rooms and check supplies
• Assemble instruments and assist with stocking

Schedule & Call

• Day shift, 8 hours
• No call
• No regular weekend requirement listed in the main posting, but some weekends may be possible
• Some holidays may be required
• RTO maximum: 4 days, subject to manager approval

Floating

• Between the Main OR and East Side OR within the same building
• May rarely float to the West Side surgery center across town

• 19 operating rooms across two hospital locations
• Level II Trauma Center
• Level III NICU and Level III Maternity Center
• Primary Stroke Center
• Epic charting
• Alaris IV pumps and Pyxis medication dispensing
• Two 8-hour unit orientation shifts

Submission Checklist

✓ 2+ years of surgical tech experience
✓ Mandatory bariatric experience
✓ Da Vinci Xi robotics experience
✓ CST certification
