Description
1. Mandatory job requirements
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of home health experience with high-volume caseloads. No exceptions.
- Travel experience: Required. First-time travelers are not accepted, but any recent travel experience is accepted.
- OASIS experience: Recent OASIS experience is required.
- OASIS exam: Must take and pass the OASIS exam to be eligible for an interview. Review OASIS-E1/E11 materials as directed in the posting, particularly mobility sections G, GG, and M18.
- California RN license: Must have an active California nursing license in hand at submission. Pending or temporary licenses are not accepted.
- BLS certification: Required.
- References: Two references from within the past year of employment, both from a supervisor or higher. Charge RN references are not accepted.
- Driver's license: Must be current and up to date.
- Supervisory references: Updated supervisory-level or higher references must be submitted with the application.
2. Required clinical skills
The position requires strong home health assessment and documentation skills, including:
- Start of Care (SOC), Resumption of Care (ROC), admission assessments, and routine visits.
- OASIS documentation and assessment.
- Wound care, wound staging, pressure ulcer prevention, and wound VAC management.
- PICC line dressing changes — specifically required.
- IV therapy and management of peripheral IVs, central lines, and ports.
- Heart failure assessment and management.
- Diabetes care and blood glucose monitoring.
- Medication reconciliation and anticoagulant management.
- Urinary catheter management and insertion.
- Colostomy/ileostomy, feeding tube, G-tube, and drain care.
- Vital signs, pain assessment, oxygen safety, infection control, and patient education.
