Description

Registered Nurse – Operating Room

Location: Huntington, WV
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Start Date: October 26, 2026
Shift: Day Shift, 3x12 Hours (7:00 AM – 7:15 PM)

Job Responsibilities

Perform circulating duties in the Operating Room; scrubbing experience is preferred.
Provide perioperative nursing care and ensure patient safety throughout surgical procedures.
Assist with a variety of surgical specialties, including:
- Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery (CVT)
- Neurosurgery
- Orthopedics
- Cataract Surgery
- Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT)
- Trauma Surgery
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the surgical team to ensure efficient operating room procedures.
Maintain aseptic techniques and follow established infection prevention protocols.
Monitor patients and support their care before, during, and after surgical procedures.

Requirements

Operating Room nursing experience with circulating skills required.
Ability to work across multiple surgical specialties, including trauma.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Active West Virginia RN license or compact nursing license required at the time of submission.
Temporary and pending licenses will not be accepted.
Scrubbing experience preferred.
