Description

Job Title: Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN) – Geriatric Behavioral Health Facility Type/Setting: Hospital – Geriatric Behavioral Health
Facility/Location: Athens, TN 37303
Shift & Schedule: Nights, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
Weekly Hours: 36
Contract Length: 13 weeks Guaranteed

Candidates must live at least 60 miles away. Call/Weekend/Holiday Requirements: No call; 24 weekend hours required. No floating.

Requirements:

Active RN license valid for practice in Tennessee.
Minimum 1 year of experience.
Must have experience caring for patients with dementia.
BLS and HWC certifications required before start.
Calm demeanor and ability to work well with others.

Responsibilities:

Provide direct nursing care to geriatric patients with dementia and behavioral disturbances.
Assist physicians in caring for patients experiencing behavioral or psychiatric crises.
Assess patient conditions and monitor progress with treatment.
Maintain patient safety and coordinate care with the clinical team.
