Job Title: Anesthesia Technician 
Facility Type/Setting: Short-Term Acute Care Hospital Facility/
Location: Portland, OR
Shift & Schedule: Days, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM, 5×8-hour shifts; block scheduling required 
Weekly Hours: 40 hours 
Contract Length: 13 weeks 

 Requirements: Weeknight overnight call once per week, up to 40 hours; weekend call every 5th weekend. Must work 3 of 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, or New Year’s Day. No 48-hour schedules approved. May float to nearby sister facilities.

Requirements:

• Travel experience required.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience; 2 years listed under experience requirements.
• Community hospital experience required.
• Compact license must be in hand at submission.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, ASATT, and Cer.A.T.
• Experience with cell salvage, point-of-care testing (ABGs, ACTs, CBGs), arterial line and Hotline setup, and thoracic procedures involving dual-lumen tube insertion.
• Experience assisting with arterial lines, central lines, and lumbar drains.
• Two professional references covering one year of work within the last three years.
• Trauma Level I experience preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare anesthesia equipment, machines, and supplies for surgical procedures.
• Assist anesthesia providers during routine and emergency situations.
• Set up and troubleshoot monitoring equipment, breathing circuits, arterial lines, and other anesthesia-related devices.
• Support patient positioning, transport, equipment sterilization, and operating room safety.
• Perform required point-of-care testing and cell salvage procedures.
