Shift & Schedule
Shift: Days
Shift Length: 12 hours
Weekly Hours: 36 guaranteed hours
Weekend Requirements: 6–9 weekend shifts within a 6-week schedule, according to the shift notes.
Scheduling: Self-scheduling and block scheduling are available.
Scrub Color: Navy blue.
EMR/Charting System: EPIC.
Unit Capacity: 37 beds.

Job Requirements:
RN Experience: Minimum 2 years of nursing experience.
Clinical Experience: Acute care nursing experience required.
Medical-Surgical Experience: Ability to care for general Med-Surg patients.
Telemetry Skills: Must be competent in reading cardiac rhythm strips.
Floating Flexibility: Must be willing to float to other acuity levels as required, within competency and facility policy.
License to Submit: Yes, according to the posting; confirm the applicable state license requirements.
Driver's License: A copy of the candidate's driver's license must be submitted.
Radius Restriction: 60 miles; confirm the facility's specific local-candidate policy.

Clinical Responsibilities & Patient Population
The nurse will provide acute medical-surgical care to adult patients with conditions including:
Congestive heart failure (CHF).
Pneumonia.
Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) exacerbations.
General medical-surgical conditions.
Patients requiring moderate oxygen support.
Patients receiving medications such as analgesics, anticoagulants, and antihypertensives.

Additional responsibilities include:
Conducting patient assessments and monitoring clinical changes.
Administering medications and evaluating treatment responses.
Reading and interpreting cardiac rhythm strips.
Providing safe, evidence-based acute care.
Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.
Documenting care in EPIC.
