CVOR RN – Cardiovascular Operating Room

Job Overview

• Position: Cardiovascular Operating Room Nurse (CVOR RN)
• Shift: Day shift, 5:00 AM–2:30 PM (listed); role details state 6:00 AM–2:30 PM — confirm exact start time.
• Schedule: Full-time

Job Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac surgery.
• Prepare patients, operating rooms and surgical equipment.
• Assist the surgical team during cardiovascular procedures.
• Monitor patient safety and maintain sterile technique.
• Coordinate preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative care.
• Document nursing interventions and patient responses.
• Participate in scheduled weekday, weekend and holiday call as required.

Required Experience & Skills

• CVOR experience – mandatory.
• Cardiac surgery and operating room nursing experience.
• Knowledge of cardiovascular surgical procedures and equipment.
• Strong patient assessment, sterile technique and surgical safety skills.
• Ability to meet the required on-call schedule.

Required License & Certifications

• Active RN state license.
• BLS – Basic Life Support.
• ACLS – Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support.

• CVOR Skills.
• OR Cardio Skills.
• RN Operating Room Acute A.
• RN Pharmacology A.
• Core Mandatory Exam – Nursing.
• Core Mandatory Parts I, II and III.
