Description
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Travel Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality care to expectant mothers and newborns throughout labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, experience managing high-risk obstetric patients, and a commitment to patient safety and family-centered care.
The Travel L&D RN will collaborate with physicians, midwives, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support safe deliveries, monitor maternal and fetal well-being, and respond promptly to obstetric emergencies.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of recent, full-time equivalent nursing experience within the last 3 years.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state where care is provided.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) or a related field.
- 5+ years of recent Labor & Delivery experience, with experience gained within the last 2 years preferred.
- At least 1 year of high-risk Labor & Delivery experience within the last 2 years.
- Previous High-Risk Obstetrics (High-Risk OB) experience.
- Strong assessment, critical-thinking, communication, and emergency-response skills.
