Facility Information

• Facility Type: Children's Hospital
• Department: CT Scanner located in the Emergency Department
• Patient Population: Neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Patient Mix: Emergency and inpatient cases
• Floating: May float to the main hospital as needed
• Charting: Epic experience required
• PACS: Required skill
• Trauma Level I Experience: Preferred

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience; 2 years preferred.
• Recent hands-on experience in both CT and X-Ray modalities.
• ARRT(R) certification required.
• BLS required.
• Advanced ARRT certification required; confirm the specific advanced credential accepted.
• Virginia license or compact-state license must be in hand at submission, as specified in the posting.
• Epic charting experience required.
• Ability to work the specified day shift and float within scope when needed.
• Two professional references required.

• CT abdomen, chest, head, pelvis, and spine
• CT with and without contrast
• Contrast preparation and administration
• Starting peripheral IVs
• Multiplanar reconstruction (MPR)
• CT brain perfusion
• CT arthrography
• Virtual colonography
• Emergency Department and adult acute-care imaging
• PACS
• Siemens equipment experience
• Pediatric and neonatal imaging exposure
• Adult ICU, NICU, and PICU patient experience

Submission Requirements

• SSN, DOB, address, phone number, and email must be included at submission.
• RTO must be submitted upfront and approved by the unit manager.
• No guaranteed time off during the first week of the assignment.
• Two references required.
• Candidate's shift availability must be confirmed before submission.
• Facility reviews background hits.
• Previous travelers and permanent employees must be away from VCU for at least one year before returning as travelers.
• Natural nail policy applies.
• Required orientation modules are non-billable, average approximately 6 hours, and must be completed by Friday of orientation week.
• For applicable ER/Psych candidates, fingerprinting is required. Results typically take 15–20 business days, and candidates cannot start while results are pending.
