Requirements

Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience.
Active nursing license with Nursys license verification required.
Epic EMR experience required.
Updated resume/work history with no employment gaps greater than 60 days.
Completed skills checklist.
Professional references required.
Current certification card required.
Complete candidate demographic information must be entered into the profile, including a badge-appropriate photograph.
Must be available for day shifts, 12 hours per shift, 3 shifts per week (3x12).
Requested Time Off (RTO): Not accepted.
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week.
Contract Length: 89 weeks, as listed in the requisition.
Facility: Grady Memorial Hospital.

Responsibilities - Provide direct nursing care to Medical-Surgical patients, including general medical-surgical cases and oncology overflow patients. - Assess patients' health conditions, monitor vital signs, and identify changes in clinical status. - Administer medications, treatments, and nursing interventions according to physician orders. - Monitor patients for complications and report significant changes to the healthcare team. - Assist with patient admissions, transfers, discharges, and care coordination. - Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans. - Maintain accurate patient records and document assessments, treatments, and outcomes using Epic EMR. - Follow infection prevention protocols, medication safety procedures, and hospital policies. - Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions. - Provide appropriate nursing care to oncology overflow patients as assigned.
