1. Job Overview

• Experience: Minimum 1 year
• License: MD license
• Certification: RRT and BLS required.
• Previous Respiratory Care Experience: Preferred

2. Schedule

• Shift: Day shift
• Hours: 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
• Schedule: 5 × 8-hour shifts
• Orientation: 8 hours
• Guaranteed Hours: Not specified
• Weekends/Holidays: Some weekend and holiday work expected
• Call: Not specified
• RTO: Must be submitted upfront and approved before the assignment.

3. Required Skills

• CPAP and BiPAP setup and management
• Apnea monitors
• ABG interpretation
• Trach collar and tracheostomy care
• Suctioning (ETT/NT)
• RSV-related respiratory care
• Basic patient assessments and coordination of DME equipment setup

4. Patient Population & Setting

• Age Groups: Infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
• Daily Census: Approximately 10
• Visits per Day: 10
• Common Diagnoses: COPD and sleep apnea
• Equipment: CPAP, BiPAP, tracheostomy equipment, apnea monitors, and cough assist devices
• Charting: Epic preferred

5. Facility & Compliance Notes

• Local Rule: Candidates within 50 miles are not accepted, except with approval for respiratory and radiology roles at a lower bill rate.
• Vaccines: COVID-19 and flu vaccines required; no exemptions.
• Floating: May be required according to facility policy and the candidate’s clinical experience.
• Modules: Non-billable, averaging 4–8 hours; completed during orientation and annually.
• Former Permanent Employees: Must be separated for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler.
• Returning Travelers: After 1 year, a 90-day separation is required before returning as a traveler.
