- Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Science in Nursing or Associate of Science in Nursing
Description
- Shift: Days, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 AM–7:00 PM)
- EMR: Epic — hard requirement
- Floating: Yes, when census warrants
- Experience Required: 1 year minimum; 1.5 years listed in qualifications. First-time travelers accepted.
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS; active NY RN license required in hand at submission
- Unit Description: General Emergency Department serving adult and pediatric patients, including neonates through geriatrics. 34 rooms, 71 beds, approximately 145 visits per day, with a 1:5 patient ratio.
- Required Skills: Phlebotomy and IV placement (mandatory competencies), dysrhythmia interpretation/management, blood product administration, central line care, IV vasopressors, continuous sedation/paralytics, procedural sedation, stroke care, and emergency medications.
- Block Scheduling: May be accommodated but is not guaranteed.
- Local Radius Rule: Candidates must live at least 75 miles from the facility; locals within 75 miles are not accepted.
- RTO: Minimal requested; cannot submit candidates with more than 10 days of requested time off.
Scrub Color: Any combination of navy and white.
