UNIT: PSYCH - INTAKE/ADMISSIONS
CLINICAL INTERVIEW
Minimum Experience (yrs in specialty): 2-5+ years. Must have floor triage experience & psych experience is required.
Required Licenses and Certifications: WI RN or compact license, AHA BLS, CPI (REQUIRED - can obtain on site, if needed) & NIHSS (preferred). NIHSS certification preferred for submissions, completion of cert is required prior to end of orientation. Certification provided through Bellin’s Apex Innovations, at no charge to the traveler.”
Charting Experience Required: Epic required within the past 2 years
Unit Overview: Admissions to Free Standing Psychiatric Inpatient Services; ages 5-99. Intake RN is typically the only RN in the department & acts as a house supervisor over the units. There are typically 2-3 other nurses who work the other units/departments on the NOC shift.
Orientation: Must be flexible with the schedule. Orientation during the week, even if every weekend position. Also meet to discuss what physical skills for CPI they use/don't use.
Weekend/Holiday Rotation Requirements: Every weekend and holiday rotation (Facility open to a weekend only candidate as well)
