Ardor Health Solutions is seeking an Occupational Therapist for a skilled nursing travel contract in Northeast Philadelphia, Pennsylvania!
This is an excellent opportunity for an OT who enjoys working with adult and geriatric patients in a skilled nursing rehabilitation environment while experiencing everything Philadelphia and the surrounding region have to offer.
Position Overview
You'll provide occupational therapy evaluations and individualized rehabilitation services to residents recovering from illness, injury, surgery and other conditions affecting their independence.
Working alongside an interdisciplinary rehabilitation team, you'll help patients improve functional abilities, regain essential daily living skills and work toward their rehabilitation goals.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Provide ADL training and functional rehabilitation
- Address upper-extremity strength, coordination and mobility
- Assist patients with adaptive equipment and compensatory techniques
- Work with patients recovering from orthopedic and neurological conditions
- Collaborate with nursing, PT, SLP and other rehabilitation professionals
- Participate in discharge planning and patient education
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation
Qualifications
- Active Pennsylvania Occupational Therapist license
- Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program
- NBCOT certification, as applicable
- Skilled nursing or geriatric rehabilitation experience preferred
- Strong communication and clinical assessment skills
