Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Science in Nursing or Associate of Science in Nursing
Description
Required qualifications
- Active California RN license
- At least 3 years of recent RN experience
- At least 2 years of recent experience in a specialty area
- CPR certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- AWHONN certification
Advanced or Intermediate Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) certification
Preferred qualification
NURCREEFM certification (as listed in the posting; confirm the exact credential with the recruiter)
Key responsibilities
- Perform individualized patient assessments and develop, implement, and evaluate plans of care.
- Provide safe, therapeutic, age-appropriate nursing care.
- Educate patients and families and evaluate their understanding.
- Advocate for patients and families in care decisions.
- Coordinate care with physicians, nurses, and other interdisciplinary team members.
- Document assessments, interventions, outcomes, and patient education.
- Delegate appropriate tasks within team members' scope of practice.
- Identify complex or high-risk situations and seek additional resources when needed.
