Description
Neuro ICU RN — Assignment Details
Unit: 8-bed Neuro ICU
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience with a Med/Surg ICU and/or Neuro ICU background
- Strong neuro assessment skills and familiarity with EVDs and ICP monitoring required
- One completed travel assignment preferred
- Wisconsin RN license, BLS, ACLS and NIHSS required; AHA or ARC accepted for BLS/ACLS
- Epic experience required
- Neurointerventional experience a plus
- Strong independent practice, teamwork and adaptability
Schedule and patient care
- Patients: Stroke, TBI, head injuries and neurosurgical patients
- Procedures: Neuro assessments and bedside ICU procedures, including support for line placement, intubation, and bolt/drain placement with Neurosurgery
- Floating: Between Neuro Critical Care ICU and MSICU; may float to other critical care and inpatient units as needed
- Weekends/Holidays: Every other weekend and every other holiday
- On-call: None
- Scrubs: Any color
