Facility: Cobre Valley Regional Medical Center

Schedule

• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM.
• 12-hour shifts with on-call requirements.
• 36 guaranteed hours per week.
• Quick start.

Unit Overview

• Six-bed MOSU providing care for post-surgical and critically ill patients.
• Patient conditions include post-cardiac catheterization/PCI, respiratory failure, sepsis, DKA, acute kidney injury, and unstable arrhythmias.

Required Experience and Skills

• Critical care nursing experience.
• Manage and titrate medications, including vasopressors, thrombolytics, antihypertensives, antidiabetics, and sedatives.
• Ventilator management.
• Hemodynamic and telemetry monitoring, including rhythm interpretation.
• Sepsis management.
• Central line, arterial line, and chest tube management.
• Blood administration.

Patient Ratios

• Critical Care: 1:2.
• Step-Down: 1:4.
• Standard Care: 1:6.

Floating Requirements

Must be willing to float to:

• Med-Surg.
• Telemetry.
• Step-Down.
• Observation units.

Equipment Used

• Infusion pumps and rapid infusers.
• Cardiac monitors and mechanical ventilators.
• BiPAP/CPAP and high-flow nasal cannula.
• Bladder scanners.

Additional Requirements

• Flu vaccination is mandatory; no exceptions.
• 100-mile radius rule: Candidates living within 100 miles of the hospital are not eligible.
• Time-off requests are limited to 3 days per 13-week contract.
• The facility may cancel up to 3 shifts per 13-week assignment; guaranteed hours do not apply to canceled shifts
