Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery (L&D)
Location: Tracy, CA 95376
Shift: Nights | 4x12-hour shifts | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
 

Quick Summary:
Seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery RN with at least 2 years of experience who is comfortable caring for both laboring mothers and newborns. Candidates must have a valid California RN license and current BLS, ACLS, NRP (Provider), and Advanced Fetal Monitoring certifications.
 

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage labor and delivery, assist with vaginal deliveries, circulate for C-sections, and provide post-C-section recovery.
• Perform fetal monitoring, obstetric triage, and sterile vaginal examinations.
• Provide postpartum and antepartum care, including fundus, lochia, and perineal assessments.
• Administer medications such as Pitocin, magnesium sulfate, terbutaline, and antihypertensives as indicated.
• Provide neonatal care in the delivery room, including APGAR scoring and newborn identification/security banding.
• Manage IV therapy, blood products, epidural-related pain management, and patient monitoring.
• Follow infection control, isolation precautions, and patient safety protocols.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery RN experience.
• Active California RN license.
• Required: BLS, ACLS, NRP (Provider), and Advanced Fetal Monitoring.
• Must be comfortable caring for both newborns and delivered mothers.
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred.

Additional Details: No block scheduling. Any charting system experience is acceptable; prior charge experience is a plus.
