Overview

• ICU RN for WV
• Location: Martinsburg, West Virginia
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Days, 12 hours per day, 36 hours per week

Unit

• ICU (MICU/SICU/Neuro), cost code 20
• 20 beds
• Supports Stepdown needs for the facility

Required Qualifications

• BLS (AHA)
• ACLS (AHA)
• NIHSS
• RN license
• COVID vaccination required

Preferred

• PALS
• TNCC

Schedule

• Every-other-weekend
• 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Rotating holidays

Floating

• Typically does not float outside of the ICU unless working a float pool assignment

Clinical Setting

• Ratios: 1:1-2 for ICU, 1:3 for Stepdown
• Common patients include post cath lab, balloon pumps, ventrics, and CRRT
• No Open Hearts
• No bolts
• Vents are managed by RT 100%
• RN may silence vent alarms once RT is notified

Additional Notes

• EPIC is used
• No blocked requests
• 1-2 shifts of orientation with a preceptor
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Travel teams must be submitted together in 1 email
• Only 2 candidates may be submitted per opening
• Can only submit to 1 position at a time across the WVU system
• Drivers license address must be outside 50 miles from the facility
• Previous perm candidates must be gone for 2 years
• Previous travelers there for 1 full year must be gone for 2 years
• Any background hits must be disclosed at time of submission
