Key Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive physical and psychosocial assessments of obstetric, neonatal, and general patients.
• Manage labor, delivery, postpartum, and neonatal care, ensuring safe, evidence-based practices.
• Monitor fetal health with external/internal fetal monitoring, perform non-stress tests, and evaluate uterine activity.
• Assist with surgical deliveries, including cesarean sections, and care for patients pre- and post-operatively.
• Administer medications and intravenous therapies with precision, maintaining safety standards.
• Educate new mothers on breastfeeding and postpartum care, addressing their individual needs.
• Recognize and respond promptly to life-threatening situations or deviations from normal findings.
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, families, and healthcare teams to coordinate patient care.
• Document accurately and maintain current, individualized care plans.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse by the State of Texas or compact.
• BLS, ACLS, NRP, FHM, and PALS
• TNCC highly preferred
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Experience working in rural health obstetrics and ER.
• Experience in obstetrics, labor and delivery, neonatal care and emergency department.
• Ability to perform physical duties including standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, and positional adjustments.
• Competence with neonatal and pediatric assessments, fetal monitoring, and emergency interventions.
