Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) 

Shift & Schedule: Nights, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM; 12-hour shifts; self-scheduling with flexibility required 

Weekly Hours: 36 hours 

Contract Length: 13 weeks 

Call/Weekend/Holiday Requirements: Every other weekend (Friday/Saturday nights); may be required to participate in holiday rotation. Optional call/standby.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience.
• Active license required at submission.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification through NBRC; CRT not accepted.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP required.
• Must be able to treat adults, pediatric patients, and NICU patients.
• Must be comfortable floating across specialties, including ICU/MICU, Med-Surg/Telemetry, Emergency Department, and other inpatient units.
• Stable experience is not required.
• First-time travelers accepted.
• Must be willing to float to sister facilities in Nampa and Boise.
• EPIC charting system.

Responsibilities:

• Provide respiratory treatments across adult, pediatric, NICU, MICU, and emergency department settings.
• Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) sampling via radial or brachial access.
• Operate and manage respiratory equipment, including ventilators and noninvasive respiratory support devices.
• Provide respiratory treatments in inpatient units, the Emergency Department, PACU, and other assigned areas.
• Assist with intubation; independent intubation is not required.
• Support Level II NICU care, including delivery attendance and CPAP initiation when qualified.
• Perform overnight oximetry and other assigned respiratory therapy procedures.
