Pediatric Hematology/Oncology RN – Job Summary

Job Details

• Shift: Day shift, 3×12 hours, 6:45 AM–7:15 PM.
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week offered.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years required.
• Patient Types: Pediatric medical-surgical and hematology/oncology.
• EMR: Epic; experience preferred.
• Scheduling: Self-scheduling.
• Travel Experience: First-time travelers accepted if they have at least 2 years of experience.
• Local Candidates: Accepted within 50 miles at a lower rate.

Required Certifications

• BLS
• PALS

Required Clinical Skills

• Pediatric Med-Surg nursing.
• Chemotherapy administration and monitoring.
• Pediatric hematology/oncology experience.
• Care and management of ports and central/implanted lines.
• Peripheral line care and management.
• Isolation precautions and PPE.
• IV starts and maintenance.
• Phlebotomy.

Preferred: Chemotherapy experience and certification; IV starts and lab draws are also preferred.
