- Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Science in Nursing or Associate of Science in Nursing
Description
- Shift: 12-hour days, starting at 6:45 AM; 36 hours/week.
- EMR: Cerner; GE Corometrics/FetaLink fetal monitoring.
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (EOW); holiday rotation with staff.
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring required. STABLE preferred.
- Unit Description: High-risk LDRP unit with 10 L&D beds, 12 postpartum beds, 3 triage beds, and 2 C-section OR suites. Handles approximately 140–165 births monthly, including preterm labor, bleeding, inductions, C-sections, and hypertension.
- Required Skills: Must provide full LDRP/couplet care, circulate C-sections, titrate Pitocin, and read/interpret maternal EKG strips in PACU.
- Patient Ratios: Couplets 1:3–4; labor 1:1–2; antepartum 1:1–3.
Candidates must not have been directly employed (FT, PT, or PRN) by a CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility within the past year. PRN employment through an outside agency may be considered.
