Description

Position Overview:
Arkansas Children’s Hospital, a 359-bed Level I Trauma and teaching hospital, is seeking experienced Pediatric Registered Nurses for its PICU/IMCU units.

Unit Details:

PICU: 26 beds; patient ratios of 1:1–2
IMCU: 13 beds; patient ratios of 1:3–4
Patient Population: Pediatric respiratory distress, trauma, neurological conditions, post-operative care, DKA, chronic ventilator care, tracheostomies, and other critical care needs
Floating: Required between NICE, PICU, Burn PICU, and IMCU; travelers are first to float
Support Staff: CNA/PCT support available
Orientation: 2–3 days, including facility specialty testing
Schedule: Manager/scheduler-driven; every other weekend required
Holidays: Required as needed
Call: No on-call requirement

Additional Requirements: Must have completed at least one travel assignment. Must pass nicotine testing. Candidates must be dependable and adhere to their assigned schedule.
