Shift: Night Shift | 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
Schedule: 3 × 12-hour shifts per week
Weekend/Holiday Requirement: Every other weekend and every other holiday
 

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical-Surgical for a 13-week contract assignment in Middleburg Heights, Ohio. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical-surgical nursing, previous travel nursing experience, and the ability to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced clinical environment.
 

The selected candidate will be responsible for assessing patients, administering medications, coordinating care, monitoring patient progress, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure safe and effective treatment.
 

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including monitoring vital signs and evaluating changes in patient conditions.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with provider orders and established protocols.
• Monitor patient responses to treatment and promptly report significant changes in clinical status.
• Provide preoperative and postoperative care when applicable.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, interventions, medications, and patient outcomes.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, discharge instructions, and ongoing care needs.
• Follow infection prevention procedures, patient safety protocols, and established nursing standards.
• Support safe patient transfers, discharge planning, and continuity of care.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience.
• Previous travel nursing experience required.
• Active Ohio RN license or Multistate RN license.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Demonstrated experience in a Medical-Surgical nursing environment.
• Strong clinical assessment, critical-thinking, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work night shifts, every other weekend, and every other holiday.

Mandatory Pre-Employment Requirements

Candidates must complete the following requirements before the assignment start date:

• Complete approximately 60–70 NetLearning modules at least 10 days before the start date.
• Successfully pass the ECG examination with a minimum score of 80%.
• Successfully pass the Medication examination with a minimum score of 80%.

Pre-employment deadline: October 16, 2026, for the October 26, 2026 start date.
