Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of combined permanent experience in the specialty applying for
• Experience circulating open-heart cases
• Current AHA BLS certification
• Permanent Ohio license or compact license in hand at submission
• One professional reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty, from an assignment worked within the past 12 months
• All required certifications must be active and in hand at submission

Preferred: CVOR experience.

Submission Requirements

• Completed Standard Qualivis Cover Sheet
• All requested time off (RTO) must be discussed during the interview and included at submission
• Candidates may be submitted for only one position at a time within the Cleveland Clinic Health System
• PBDS assessment is waived
• BCI/FBI fingerprinting must be completed within 48 hours of signing the contract
• No coworker references accepted
• Facility does not accept license hits; background hits are reviewed, but candidates with an open case are not accepted

Orientation & Compliance

• ECG rhythm recognition and SafeMedicate assessments are completed during orientation; acceptable scores are required, with a maximum of two attempts
• COVID-19 vaccination required; medical or religious exemptions only
• Flu vaccination required; medical or religious exemptions only
• Nurses and CSTs are temporarily exempt from the nicotine-free facility requirement
• Permanent and per diem candidates must wait 1 year after their previous end date before returning to Cleveland Clinic hospitals

Contract Extension Policy

• Extensions may continue up to 18 months, followed by a required 6-month break
• The facility may defer the break on a case-by-case basis with approval

Training Modules

• Average pre-start modules: 6–15 hours
• Up to 4 hours of eligible modules are billable; additional pre-start module time is non-billable
• Modules are completed before starting and annually as required
