Description

Required Qualifications

Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification.
New York State license/credential as required, in hand before submission.
Previous travel assignment experience required; first-time travelers are not accepted.
Epic experience is mandatory.
Strong hands-on experience in the following areas:
- Bariatric surgery, including gastric bypass and gastric sleeve.
- Vascular surgery, including aneurysm repair and carotid procedures.
- Thoracic surgery, including VATS.
- Orthopedic surgery, including joint replacement and fracture repair.
- Neurological surgery, including craniotomy and spinal procedures.

Additional Requirements

On-call coverage is required, including weekends and holidays.
Six call shifts are required per eight-week period, according to the facility's schedule.
Candidates must live more than 75 miles from the facility.
Candidates may be required to float between units.
Requested time off must be disclosed before submission; candidates with more than 10 days of RTO cannot be submitted.
Surgical scrubs are provided by the facility.
