• Hospital: Cleveland Clinic Main Campus
• Position: Neuro Stepdown / PCU Nurse
• Shift: Day shift, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• Schedule: 3 × 12-hour shifts per week
• Contract Length: 13
• Specialty: Neurology / Stepdown

Requirements

• Minimum 12 months of permanent work experience in the specialty.
• PCU/Progressive Care experience preferred, but not required.
• Permanent Ohio RN license or Compact license must be in hand at submission.
• First-time travelers are not specifically excluded.
• One reference from a manager, supervisor, ANM, or director in the specialty, from the past 12 months.
• Must have active certifications at submission.

Required Certifications

• BLS (AHA or American Red Cross)
• ACLS
• NIHSS

Scheduling

• Day shift, 7 AM – 7:30 PM
• Must work at least every other holiday.
• All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed during the interview and included at submission.
• Only one Cleveland Clinic job application is allowed at a time.

Tests and Orientation

• ECG rhythm recognition test required.
• SafeMedicate assessment required.
• Maximum 2 attempts to pass each assessment; failure may result in cancellation.
• Background fingerprinting must be completed within 48 hours of signing.
• Orientation and pre-start modules required; modules average 6–15 hours, with 4 hours billable.

Other Important Details

• COVID-19 and flu vaccines required; medical/religious exemptions accepted.
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate.
• No active license issues or open background cases accepted.
• Previous Cleveland Clinic permanent or per-diem employees must wait 1 year after their end date before returning.
• Travelers may extend up to 18 months before a required 6-month break, subject to facility policy.
