Neurology RN | Rochester, NY | 16-Week Contract | Weekend Blocks 

Facility: Strong Memorial Hospital (URMC), Rochester, NY, 

Comprehensive Stroke Center and Level 4 Epilepsy Monitoring Unit
Position: Registered Nurse, neurology, full-time
Contract: 16 weeks
Hours: 36 hours per week, with up to 48 hours per week available, paid at regular time 

Schedule

• [12-hour] shifts on a rotating day/evening/night schedule [confirm how rotation is assigned]
• Blocked weekends (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
• Holidays, on-call, call-back, and charge as the unit needs [confirm how often]

About the unit
Care for patients with stroke, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, Guillain-Barré syndrome, and other neurological conditions in a fast-paced, acute setting. The unit is a Joint Commission-accredited Comprehensive Stroke Center and the only Level 4 Epilepsy Monitoring Unit in the region, using continuous video EEG to evaluate, diagnose, and treat seizures. You’ll work with an interdisciplinary team that values nursing skill and compassion.

Requirements

• NY RN license (NY only)
• 2+ years of RN experience
• Telemetry experience
• BLS
• NIHSS certification
