Job Summary – Labor & Delivery (L&D) Registered Nurse

Facility: Los Robles Hospital & Medical Center
Location: 215 W Janss Rd, Thousand Oaks, CA 91360
Unit: Labor & Delivery (L&D), Main Campus

1. Job Details

• Shift: Day shift, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Contract Duration: 91 weeks listed — confirm with the account manager, as this is unusually long for a travel assignment
• Open Positions: 1
• Dress Code: Navy scrubs
• Floating: Mother-Baby unit
• California RN License: Required

2. Required Qualifications – Must-Haves

Candidates without these skills will not be considered.

• Minimum 2 years of L&D experience
• Active California RN license
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications
• Excellent critical-thinking skills
• Fetal monitoring experience
• Vaginal examination skills
• C-section circulating experience
• Post-C-section recovery experience
• Care of laboring patients, including vaginal and cesarean deliveries and recovery
• High-risk antepartum care, including:
  • Gestational hypertension
  • Gestational diabetes
• Obstetrical emergency management, including OB hemorrhage
• Newborn care during the first hour of life
• Breastfeeding support and initial latch assistance
• Strong customer service skills
