Description
Job Description – Registered Nurse (RN), Critical Care Float Pool
Facility: University Hospital
Location: 600 Highland Ave, Madison, WI 53792
Shift: Nights, 4×12-hour shifts
Shift Time: 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend; approximately 6–7 weekend shifts per contract
Holidays: Some holidays required
Guaranteed Hours: Not specified
Call: Not required
Local Rule: Candidates within 50 miles are not accepted
Interview/Testing: Clinical screening and required telemetry exam
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in the specialty being submitted
- 5 years of experience listed in the job requirements
- Previous travel experience required
- Previous Charge Nurse experience preferred
- Adult ICU experience required
- Basic arrhythmia experience required
- Must be competent in multiple ICU specialties
- Wisconsin RN license or compact RN license required
Required Certifications
- BLS – AHA only
- ACLS – AHA only
- NIHSS*
- TNCC*
