Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool

Role Overview

• Travel/contract RN position in Charlottesville, Virginia.
• Pediatric float pool assignment floating to various pediatric units, including PICU, NICU, peds medsurg, peds PACU, peds ED boarders, and postpartum/mother baby.
• Nights; 36 or 48 hours per week.
• 52-week assignment.
• Every other weekend and every other holiday.
• Must work 2 of the 3 winter holidays.
• Block scheduling cannot be accommodated or guaranteed.
• Can approve 40 hours for time off; no RTO can be approved in the first 2 weeks of the assignment.
• Clinical review and auto offer.
• Must adhere to the float policy.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Virginia
• Critical Care Float (2 years of experience)
• Critical Care Float experience within the last year
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure
• Infant-Driven Feeding™ Advancing Oral Feeding Practice in the NICU
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care experience
• NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care experience
• Experience with Epic

Preferred Qualifications

• Peds PACU experience.
• Previous NICU/PICU float pool experience may be considered.

Schedule

• Night shift: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
• 48 hours per week.
